Guest Policy
Stay @ St Marks is for guests aged 18 and over only. You will be asked to show photo identification at check in.
Check In & Check Out
Stay @ St Marks guests benefit from an early check in and late check out time as standard with every booking.
Check in is from 12 noon – those checking in after 17:00, or on a Sunday, will need to call Security on 01522 886062 on arrival.
Check out is 12 noon.
Self Service Breakfast
Short stay guests, with bookings of less than 28 nights are booked on a bed and breakfast basis. A light continental breakfast is available from 7.30am to 10.30am in the communal breakfast room in Apartment H2 on the ground floor. Your room key will allow access to Apartment H2 for breakfast.
Gluten free and vegan options are available on request. Please notify the team of any dietary requirements ahead of your arrival by emailing stay@lincoln.ac.uk
Connecting to the WiFi
WiFi is available through the provider Ask4.
To connect, select Ask4 WiFi / Ask4 Wireless in WiFi settings.
Open a new browser and search signup.ask4.com.
Here you will have to option to either sign up for an account or to use temporary access.
Either option will provide you with a connection, however if you choose the temporary access option you will need to follow this process every few days.
If you are here for a longer stay the best option is to sign up for an account. There is no charge, and you do not need to add the cloud storage option. You will need to add some details including your room details. When adding your Room details please follow this format
Block – H
Apartment Number.
Room Number.
Adding additional devices to your Wifi
On your new device connect to “ASK4 Wifi” / “ASK4 Wireless” and log into myaccount.ask4.com
Click on “Enable this device”
Gym Membership
All Stay @ St Marks residents have free access to the University gym for the full duration of their Stay. The gym is located a short walk from St Marks (Brayford Way, Lincoln LN6 7TS) and open daily 06:00 to 23:00 Monday to Friday and 07:45 to 19:00 over weekends.
To access the gym, head to the Sports Centre reception and show a member of staff your booking confirmation email.
The Sports Centre team can be contacted by phone on 01522 886688.
Security
Security is located within the Minerva Building on the University Brayford Pool Campus and can be contacted on 01522 886062 for any concerns outside of reception opening hours.
In the event of an emergency, call 999 and request the emergency service which you require. It is also helpful if you can contact the University Security Team to notify them of the emergency – especially if an emergency vehicle will be attending the residence.

Fire Safety & Evacuation
Evacuation details are available in every apartment in the apartment corridor and on the back of the main apartment door.
Alarms are tested once a week on a Wednesday morning.
It is important that you make yourself aware of the emergency exits and assembly point – which is in front of the main reception block (Block B) – on arrival.
On discovering an indication of fire, you should:
· Operate the nearest fire alarm manual call point
· Leave the building via the nearest available exit in a calm manner and proceed to the designated assembly point
· Dial 999 and request the Fire Service
· Inform Security by calling 01522 886062
Do not re-enter the building or leave the assembly point without the express permission of the Fire Service, a University Senior Officer, or the Health and Safety Department.
Any missing person(s), person(s) refusing to leave or person(s) requiring assistance should be reported to the University Staff on-site or the Fire Service.
If at any time during your occupancy you are physically unable to vacate your room in an emergency without assistance, you must inform the St Marks Reception staff so that they can arrange a personal evacuation plan.
You must not cover the smoke detector at any point during your stay.
Booking Conditions (For Guests staying less than 28 nights)
Guests with a booking duration of less than 28 nights are booked on a bed and breakfast basis. A light breakfast is available from 7:30am – 10:30am in the communal breakfast room in Apartment H2, ground floor.
The breakfast is self-service, and visitors are asked to follow the guidelines displayed in the kitchen so that all guests may benefit from the shared facility.
Bedrooms will be serviced weekly with a towel and linen change.
Guests are welcome to use the facilities in the common areas of the individual apartments. However, cooking in these apartments (with the cookers) is not permitted.
Guests are welcome to use the kettle and microwaves. Crockery, mugs and cutlery are also provided. Please remain respectful of others staying in the apartment by maintaining apartment hygiene.
Any used crockery and cutlery items should be washed and put away immediately after use.
If you do use the kitchen area, please clean your own crockery and cutlery items immediately after use and put them away.
It is advised that any items in the fridge are labelled with the room number. All items must be disposed of at the end of the stay.
Booking Conditions (For guests staying 28 nights and over)
Guests staying 28 nights and over are booked on a self-catering basis. Breakfast for our long stay guests is not included, but instead kitchens are a fully equipped, to allow for the freedom and flexibility of self-catering.
Communal areas are designed and equipped to accommodate the maximum potential number of residents for each apartment.
Allocation of communal spaces – such as cupboards or space in the fridge freezer – are left to the residents to decide.
It is important to be respectful of other staying in the apartment by maintaining a level of hygiene.
Bins should be emptied regularly, and guests are individually responsible for cleaning any cooking, crockery and cutlery items immediately after use and putting them away.
The Housekeeper will do a weekly surface clean of the kitchen counters, floors and corridor, but will only do this if surfaces are clear.
Linen, and towel changes are not included but, laundry facilities are available on a pay per use basis.
Repairs and Maintenance
Any repair or maintenance issue should be reported to reception during opening hours.
If you have an urgent repair or maintenance issue outside of office hours, contact the Security Team on 01522 886062, who will assess the report and plan for a maintenance contractor to attend as soon as possible.
Maintenance work will either be carried out by staff members wearing navy uniform with the University of Lincoln crest or Dalkia staff members wearing grey uniform with the Dalkia logo.
Staff will always carry identification with them.
Mandatory Testing/Routine Maintenance
Sometimes maintenance jobs and health and safety checks need to be carried out around the building during your stay.
If you have provided your email address on arrival, you will be contacted 24 hours prior to any work being carried out.
Laundry
Laundry is provided by the external company Circuit. The Laundrette is located to the rear of your accommodation building.
The washing machines and tumble dryers can be used via a top-up card or the app. More details can be found on the Circuit laundry website.
Local Amenities
Stay @ St Marks is within a short walking distance to the Lincoln city centre, where guests can find high street stores, restaurants, bars and entertainment venues.
Across from the St Marks complex is a Morrisons and Farm Foods. To the left of complex is a retail park with Starbucks, Currys, Home Bargains and HomeSense. Further up Tritton Road is Valentine Retail Park, home at a Next, Asda living, TKMaxx and The Range.
Post and Parcels
For guests staying for more than 7 nights, post and parcels can be received at reception. If you need to use this service, please contact the reception team or email stay@lincoln.ac.uk for more details
