University of Lincoln Accommodation Booking Conditions for Returning Students September 2024/25

This document outlines the booking conditions for returning students booking a room in University-managed accommodation for September 2024.

Offer of Accommodation

Accommodation Applications

Returning students can apply for University-managed accommodation from Wednesday 28th February 2024 to Friday 12th April, via the online booking portal

Students will need their University of Lincoln Student ID number to log into the portal and apply for accommodation, selecting their top four choices in preference order.

Students who registered their interest in rebooking accommodation in 2023, for September 2024, will automatically receive an offer of a room in their chosen accommodation on Monday 26th February 2024. Students do not need to make an additional booking through the booking portal.

Once an offer has been received, students have five working days to accept and sign the Accommodation Contract, via the booking portal, before the offer times out.

Accommodation Fees

Accommodation fees are set on an annual basis and can be viewed for the 2024/2025 period on the University website.

No deposit or down payment is needed to secure the accommodation and students have the choice of payment installment options.

Please note, the standard accommodation contract length is now 44-weeks, with Valentine Court being the only 46-week contract.

Cygnet Wharf is not available for returning students.

Cancellation Period

Details on the cancellation period can be found in the Accommodation Cancellation, Transfer, and Release Policy.

Accommodation Allocations

A number of rooms have been allocated for returning students across five accommodations. Should these rooms be filled before 12 April, all current students will be informed by email.

Students will be allocated a room in an apartment with other returning students. At some sites the full house or block may be returning students.

Sharing Requests

Students can request to live with another student when accepting their offer on the booking portal. Both/all students should list the names and Student ID number of those they wish to live with. All students wishing to live together must hold an offer for the same accommodation.

This request is not guaranteed, but every effort will be made, where possible, to allocate students together.

Room allocation details will not be sent out until later in the academic year.

Accommodation Contract

We use an Accommodation Contract, also known as the ‘Accommodation Terms & Conditions’. This is signed by ticking a confirmation box in the Booking Portal and is a legally binding contract for the full period of the accommodation contract length.

This means that unless there are exceptional grounds for the tenancy to be cancelled, you are liable for rent until the end of the contract, or until a replacement is found.
