The Gateway is a mixed gender residence offering single occupancy of both studio apartments, and cluster apartments. The building contains 519 rooms, all of which are en-suite and contain three quarter sized beds. Wi-fi is available throughout each building. All types of room share communal TV Lounges.

Three Blocks of Buildings: A, B and C. There are 345 studio rooms in Block A, with apartments having a communal lounge which vary between 7 and 23 studios sharing. Block B contains 158 en-suite rooms with clusters sharing a communal kitchen. C block contains 16 studio rooms.

On site reception is available 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday

The Gateway is located just south of University Main Campus and is only a 5-minute walk away.

  • Morrison’s on Tritton Road is a 6-minute walk away, and Sainsbury’s on Carholme Road is only a 10-minute walk away for all grocery needs.
  • A McDonald’s is next door to The Gateway. A 10-minute walk away from Tritton Road and Valentine Retail parks, which includes: Starbucks, Costa Coffee, ASDA Living, TX Maxx, The Range, NEXT, B&M, Hobbycraft, Curry’s/PC World, amongst others.
