How to Apply

Applying for Accommodation

Applying for accommodation at Lincoln is simple. Once you have formally accepted your course offer you will be able to make your accommodation application using our online system. Every effort will be made to ensure that you are allocated accommodation from your preferred options, depending on demand.

It is important that you are fully aware of all the information regarding accommodation payments, deadline dates for applying, the details of the contract you will sign, and the associated costs you will be responsible for when renting accommodation.

2022 Entry

Step 1: Apply from November 2021

On 2 November 2021, the online application system opened for applicants who have accepted their course offer for 2021 entry via UCAS as their first choice. To apply you need to have accepted your course offer at least 24 hours or one working day before you wish to submit an accommodation application. You will need your 8 digit University of Lincoln Applicant ID, which you will have received in your academic offer. It is also included in the email alert you will receive notifying you that applications for accommodation are open.

Step 2: Choose Your Accommodation

Login and select the ‘new application’ link in the top toolbar. You will then need to select the correct application type, course type, session, and pathway before you can browse the accommodation available. Choose your favourite four options by clicking the ‘apply’ button beside your chosen development and then select the room type you would prefer. This allows us to see what other options you are interested in should your first choice be fully allocated due to demand.

The next page enables you to enter ‘further details’ where you can inform us of any special requirements. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to facilitate all requests. If you believe you have additional requirements due to a disability or medical condition that will affect your accommodation allocation, please email studentwellbeing@lincoln.ac.uk separately to your application.

Step 3: Review and Submit

Review and check your choices and preferences on the ‘application summary’ screen before clicking ‘submit’. You will then be taken to another screen where you will need to accept our Terms and Conditions before you are able to submit your application. The next screen will then confirm that you have successfully submitted your application.

Step 4: What Happens Next?

Offers for accommodation for students starting in the autumn will be communicated via email.

2021/2022 Postgraduate Entry

Application for students who will be starting a Postgraduate course in January or February 2022 is now open.

Once you have accepted your course offer you will receive an email giving you access to the online booking system. If you have previously studied at the University of Lincoln, then you will already have access to the booking system and will need to log back in using your student ID number.

If you are studying a Postgraduate Taught course, you will be eligible for the Accommodation Bursary, which offers 50% off the annual fee for en-suite rooms at St Marks, 179 High Street, Cygnet Wharf and The Gateway, where studio rooms are also available.
