You room is yours until the end of your Accommodation Agreement. However, should you wish to, you may move out and return your key prior to this date.
All the information which you need to know is listed below. Should you have any questions, please speak to the Accommodation Services Team in reception, by phone 01522 886 300 or, via online form: lncn.ac/queryform

Moving Out
When the time comes to move out, please complete the Electronic Check-Out Form and hand your key in either at your accommodation reception or put it in the key return box, if you are leaving outside of opening hours. This must be completed before your Accommodation Agreement end date to avoid any additional charges. Details on where the key return post boxes are located for each residence are in the Electronic Check-Out Form. Do not leave your key in your room.
Students staying in St Marks, Valentine Court, Lincoln Courts and Cygnet Wharf may use the short-stay parking spaces to load belongings, by registering their car registration at reception during office hours. Parking fines may apply on some sites if your registration is not registered so, please take note of the parking signs in the area, including out-of-hours use.
Speak to reception if you are staying in Viking House or 179 High Street about the closest parking options, or if you have any other questions.
It is your responsibility to empty your room of all personal belongings and ensure it is clean, with no damage. As a flat, you are all responsible for the cleaning of the communal spaces, including emptying cupboards, bins, fridges, and freezers.
No personal belongings are permitted to be left in the accommodation after the Accommodation Agreement end date.
If do not wish to take all your belongings home with you, you may consider using a packing/shipping/storage service to collect and store your belongings over the Summer. The University does not endorse any one provider over another, and you should research providers before making a booking.
The Residence Life Team will be contacting residents by email with details on how to donate any items or food which, you do wish to take away with you. Accommodation Services works with the British Heart Foundation, and you will notice collection points across campus.
You must have vacated your room prior to 10am on the Accommodation Agreement end date.
The Team is not able to divert any mail, so please ensure that you change your address if you are expecting any post or parcels, put a forward, or redirect your mail via Royal Mail. Any mail which arrives after your Accommodation Agreement end date will be returned to the sender where possible.
